4/19/2011 News from Seattle 3rd!!!!

Hey family,
How's it going? Transfers were today and I got transferred hopefully to my last area in Mount Si in the Bellevue south zone. My new companion is Elder Van Den Akker he's a pretty cool kid so this should be a fun transfer, and he is also a district leader which means that I was put back as junior Comp YEAH!!!!!!! I hated being senior comp so now a lot of the weight has been taken off my shoulders.
Mom and Dad, I have given it a lot of thought these past few months and I would like it if you guys came and picked me up at the end of my mission, if that option is still open that is. One reason why is I have collected a lot of stuff over these last 20 months and it would be very expensive to ship it all home, if ya know what I mean. Also it would give me a chance to visit all my favorite families before going home, so if you guys are still okay with that, that is what I would like to do.
That is about it for this week.
Love ya all,
Elder O'Brien

Hey family,
Things are the same here, still tracting and finding people.
Elder Kikuchi of the seventy is going to be here in May, so we have a challenge from our mission president to find all the part-member families in our ward by then. We have about 22 families so a lot to work with.
Well anyways love ya all,
Elder O'Brien

Hey family,
Yeah I know my letters are short and I know that there isn't much to write it's because nothing is happening here in Seattle 3rd we seem to have hit a dry spot right now, we've got no investigators and so that means teaching members and tracting so that's all I have to report.
Conference was great my favorite talk was Elder Oaks talk and my all time favorite quote from him is "tracting into strangers will not build the kingdom of God, it will be through thoughtful discerning members bringing their friends to the gospel". Also there seemed to be a lot of speakers on getting married and since I am almost done with my mission I've been starting to think about that it's crazy that I only have five more months left. I love the mission and all, but I'm ready to come home and resume life, go to school find a wife and the rest is history. Another one of my favorite talks was the person who talked about doing and being. How we can just do things and it won't amount to anything unless we be that kind of person, so yeah that was my favorite talks this general conference.
Love ya,
Elder O'Brien
